Holistic Living - What Is It All About?

Image
"Holistic living is concerned with being far sighted, so that you pay attention to the habits, actions and choices you are making in the 'now'. You are weaving the fabric of your life with your choices. Whether this fabric is coarse or silken depends on your actions, your habits, your choices." Master B #InnerMasteryCentre

Zap Them With Gentleness!

Image
Thus have I heard: We may not be able to determine what each day brings, but we do have the power to choose, how we not only bring in the day, but also how much splendor we gain and share from it. Don’t you desire kindness and understanding from others, even when you are being obnoxious at times?  In the same light, how often do you convey tenderness in your interactions with others, especially when they are being unreasonable or difficult?  Does a titanic disruption have to arise in your relationships and in your health before you take the necessary steps to resolve these issues in a wholesome manner? You may believe that it is admirable to be gentle, kind and affectionate only to those close to your heart, but that goes against the basic law of nature involving the principle of fair exchange.  Just reflect on the great benefits you continue to enjoy in your personal and professional life from “complete strangers” day in and day out.   Observe ...

A Glimpse At Our Workshops & Retreats

Image
Life can stress us out, or so it seems.  But when we blame “those things” and “those people” for the stressful emotions and pressures we feel, we relinquish our power to transform our challenges.  Seeing that, “those things” and “those people” are an inseparable part of our lives, it is in our best interest to learn to relate to them with kindness, clarity and compassion, because by doing so, we not only bring out our best, but also inspire the best from the people and situations we find so daunting. A truly joyful person is not a person in a special set of circumstances, but a person with a special state of mind, who knows how to transform a barren landscape into a fertile and fruitful field.  That is why things turn out best for those who make the best of the way things turn out. When we truly understand and live in alignment with this understanding that being serene is a choice, we flow with power and grace in this world and excel in manifesting our deepest aspira...

Image
Wishing you all an auspicious and enlightened  # BuddhPoornima  ! Quote of the Day: “To make your best contribution to the world, you need to get excited about who you are, what you are, what you have, and what can still be possible for you, because only then will you begin to unleash all that is best in you.” - Master B, # InnerMasteryCentre Buddha Purnima is the celebration of Gautam Buddha’s birth and falls on the full moon in the Hindu month of Vaisakha. Empty Your Mind - A Zen Story

Image
Ha ha ha! In the early 20th century, Zen master Nan-in received a university professor who came to ask about Zen. Instead, the professor only talked on and on about his own ideas. Nan-in served tea. He poured his visitor’s cup full, and then, while the man continued to speak, Nan-in kept on pouring the tea. The professor watched the overflow until he could no longer restrain himself. “You fool! It is overfull. No more will go in!” Nan-in replied, “Like this cup, you are also too full of your own opinions and speculations. How can I show you Zen unless you first empty your mind?” Connect with us today for more information on workshops and retreats at beingwisenow@gmail.com or visit http://www.innermasterynow.net/contact-us.html   to learn more about us at #InnerMasteryCentre
